Bio

Alessandra Dobrin-Deluxe is an Emmy Winning Filmmaker, a Writer of Speculative Fiction, and loves to play in the musical world.

Alessandra was born in NYC, and raised in

Amsterdam, the Netherlands,

by an artist mother and physicist father,

who inspired her love of storytelling,

spirituality, nature, music, art, travel,

community, family, cats, and good food.

​

She is a founding member of Supra Sonic Studios,

as well as a founder and Head of Post Production

at Film Nest Studios, both all-female-owned

production companies.

 

Alessandra an Emmy winning director, producer, editor, and writer of speculative fiction. Alessandra has worked on many television series, narrative and documentary films, music videos, and commercials, and her work has appeared on major networks including, NBC, CBS, ABC, MTV, VH1, PBS, BET, and Amazon, and within the domestic and international festival circuit. Recent projects include director and editor on the Emmy winning series, THE EARLY SHOW WITH ALAX, Lead Editor on MEOW WOLF: ORIGIN STORY, which is featured on AppleTV, premiered at SXSW, and played in over 600 theaters and on airlines worldwide. Alessandra was lead editor on the CBS TV Special ELVIS BY THE PRESLEYS. Other notable projects include the intro to music videos THE BEATLES’ GET BACK & DON’T LET ME DOWN, the TV Special ELVIS LIVES, and VH1's VIBE AWARDS.

Alessandra is currently writing her first YA speculative fiction novel. Previous works have been published in online magazines, including The New York Times.

She taught Advanced Film Editing at the ‘Santa Fe University of Art and Design’ for 5 years.

​

Together with her wife, Jessie Deluxe, she is a member of the musical group, ‘Bad Hologram’. 

​

Alessandra lives in Santa Fe, NM, with her wife, two daughters, mother, and her three kitten children.
